Return eligibility depends on timing, product condition, packaging, and the type of product being returned.
Even when a product is approved for return, it must be packaged correctly to protect the item and original manufacturer packaging.
What this guide covers
This guide explains what makes a product eligible for return and how approved returns must be packaged.
Basic return eligibility
Approved returns must meet all of the following requirements:
- Returned within 30 days of the original purchase date
- New and unused
- In resalable condition
- Complete with all original packaging
- Complete with documentation, accessories, and components
- Free from installation marks or signs of use
Products with grease, dirt, damage, fingerprints, odors, missing parts, modification marks, or installation marks may not be accepted.
Packaging requirements
Returned items must be shipped inside a separate shipping box.
Do not use the original manufacturer packaging as the shipping container.
Returns may not be accepted if:
- Shipping labels are applied directly to manufacturer packaging
- Tape is applied directly to the original box
- Writing or markings are added to the original packaging
- Original packaging is torn, crushed, dented, scratched, or damaged
Manufacturer packaging is part of the product. If it is damaged, the item may no longer be resalable.
Why packaging matters
Many performance parts include precise components, hardware, seals, or machined surfaces. Poor packaging can cause damage during return transit.
Correct packaging protects both the product and your refund eligibility.
Inspection after return
Once an approved return is received, Calas inspects the item before issuing a refund.
Inspection may include checking:
- Product condition
- Packaging condition
- Completeness
- Signs of installation
- Signs of modification
- Missing components
Builder Tip
Open product packaging carefully. If you destroy the packaging before confirming fitment, return eligibility may be affected.
Quick checklist
Before shipping an approved return:
- Place the product in its original packaging
- Place that packaging inside a separate shipping box
- Include all documentation and components
- Do not write on the manufacturer packaging
- Do not tape or label the manufacturer packaging directly
- Use enough padding to prevent damage
